Souster Youth are a Christian youth charity on a mission to inspire hope in young people. Souster Youth reaches out to young people in Northamptonshire, by several channels. They offer a diverse range of Interventions via secondary schools, with provision tailored to each school’s individual needs, including workshops, assemblies, psycho-therapeutic group work and curriculum input. They also offer entertaining, and informative seminars for parents (and other care givers), as well as training courses for youth workers. Souster Youth work with young people who are facing challenges such as anxiety, grief, anger, self-harm, digital addiction and bullying-to name a few.
The grant provided by Project Spark was used to fund The Grow Course which is a psycho-therapeutic group intervention that helps young people find coping strategies to address a range of issues such as anxiety, self-harm, grief and low self-worth. Groups take place once per week for 6-8 weeks with approximately 6 students in each group per course. There is no charge to the schools for the service.
